Ghias-ud-Din (S.I)






Mr. Ghias-ud-Din joined Pfizer Lahore date on 7th April 1963 as PSR (Personal Sales Representative) and retired on 7th of April 1998. Mr Ghias-ud-Din , known as “Baba Ji”, joined the Society of the Welfare for Orthopaedically Disabled Patients (SWOD) on 22th April 1998 as a social worker in the capacity of Assistant General Secretary and continues to serve in this post. He has assisted SWOD in various projects meant for helping orthopaedically diseased patients and augmenting the knowledge and skills of Post Graduate orthopaedic surgery residents and paramedics from various departments.

As a social worker, he also started serving Fountain House Lahore and Farooqabad, an institution that treats and supports mentally challenged and diseased patients. He has led on the development of a block dedicated to supporting female patients at Fountain House Lahore, which was named after his late daughter, Aamina Ghias. Mr Ghias-ud-Din was also elected as a Secretary General for the Lahore Mental Health Association.

As a recognition of his work, the President of Pakistan awarded the civil award of Sitar-e- Imtiaz in 20008.
